Zen Buddhism meditations
For 2 years, while living in the mid-west of the US again, Ulonda meditated, studied and stayed in Buddhist monasteries to gain deeper meditative awareness. She spent quiet work hours in the monastery gardens and enjoyed the deeper conversations, teachings and meditations that were presented as well as the beautiful sangha.

Shiv Yog’s Integrative Cosmic Medicine programs take people beyond western definitions of trauma and health problems to the direct source of transformation and infinite healing potential.
All Yoga is transcendental IF you are practicing genuine Yoga.
According to the Yoga Sutras:
Now is the teaching on Yoga.
Yoga is the complete settling of the activity of the mind.
The observer is established in their own nature [the Self].

An Interview with Ulonda Faye:
Q: Ulonda, could you tell us about your diverse background?
A: Yes, with gratitude. My academic journey led me from the President of the Women’s Business Association in High School to a B.A. in Political Science, International Studies, and German in undergraduate school.
I studied Peace and Conflict Resolution with an emphasis on International Relations during my graduate studies in Germany, where I lived for 10 years translating and working for a variety of organizations. During this point in my life, I was preparing for the foreign service exam and was being tailored to work as a cultural diplomat in embassies. Having a deep passion for cultures, languages, peace and human rights, this felt ideal for my life path at the time.
Seeing all the needs for healing in the world through my work with human rights organizations, I began to observe that the greatest focus point needed for healing was to begin with the individual. I saw it within myself too and began to take my own healing more to heart. My world began to expand at this time, and I saw cultural traumas and felt the deep need for healing all around. I then turned my focus completely to alternative healing modalities becoming certified in a wide-variety of healing traditions.
Q: Ulonda, can you tell us about your travels, and if that has had an impact on you and your work?
A: Absolutely. Traveling began everything for me. I started traveling in 1997, while still living in my family’s mid-western home in the US. I traveled extensively from 1997-2012 living, studying, working and healing in Hawaii, Asia, Europe, Oceania and South America. I returned to live in the mid-west from 2012-14 and then divided up my time for years in northern New Mexico and in southern California to later return to live in South America.
At this time, I deepened my understanding in shamanism, energetic & vibrational medicine, herbalism and meditation, which I first began in 2009, with initiations in 2011, 2012 as well as in 2016 and 2019. Curanderismo and Native American healing traditions became more and more naturally integrated into my existence through living in these ancestral lands as well as through the guidance of native healers.
Traveling was and still is the gatekeeper for my continuous expansion in consciousness. I continue to travel to this day and find the experience of the new energies and vibrations of each place to be of incredible inspiration. Currently, I reside in South America, where I can continue to grow and expand in important ways.
Q:Ulonda, could you describe your initiations more specifically for us?
A: Yes. There are things that occur in life by the hand of grace and nothing is a coincidence. I have had situations where I thought I might die due to a diagnosis. It brought so much to light to the heart to know I could be dying. Back then, I was not as clear about reincarnation and had more of a view of that is it. So, it provided for a deepening of awareness for my Soul as to who we are. I consider this phase a preparation for the initiations that would come.
In 2011, 2012, 2016 and 2019, I had different initiations through ceremony. The focus was on receiving a transference for energy work, meditation and shamanism. These fields of vibrational and spirit medicine are only functional from a place based in the heart. All intentions must be pure and for the highest good for all.
Near Death Experience (NDE)
My greatest initiation was the experience of actually dying. I had a Near Death Experience (NDE) in 2012, half a year after my very first shamanic initiation, and it changed my whole being. It is one thing, and a hard thing, to know you may die. Yet, it is another thing to actually die and become one with source. It strips you of all fear. The experience changed the way I think, feel, speak and in some ways even look. People who knew me before can attest to these dramatic changes. I underwent a complete karmic clearing of sanskaras, and my work began to move in remarkable ways into the world of tantra, mantra, yantra and the deep spiritual traditions of India. This is what I refer to as an initiation by the hand of grace.
I would like to encourage everyone to read about NDE’s. What everyone comes back realizing is that life is eternal. The Soul does not die. We are infinite Souls and when we return to our Universal source, it is clear that we are love. It is the most peaceful and loving place. One thing is for sure, we are all a part of the same source, and truly when we interact with another we are interacting with a part of ourselves. Thus, look at everyone as a part of you, and you will see how you become more peaceful and loving in your relations.
Q: Wow. That is quite an experience. Thank you for sitting with us today. Would you like to close by describing who you are and the purpose behind your work?
A: Yes, thank you very much. I consider myself a lover of the journey, a believer in inner and outer peace, and a facilitator for change. My greatest desire is to offer up a support system for those who are ready to embody their Higher Self. My work is to awaken the Divine life within. I am a lifelong student and devotee of the Divine – the one light that is universal and within and around each and every one of us. Thank you so much for your interview beautiful Soul.
